Join us at the Pompano Beach Historical Society on Wednesday, January 18th at 6:30 pm to hear Tom Wanke talk about the development of the surfing culture in South Florida. In addition to surfing the Florida shores most of his life, he is an announcer and organizer for surfing competitions. He has also written many newspaper columns about surfing. So come on all you grommets (inexperienced surfers) to dudes (experienced surfers) to wahines (female surfers), don't miss this program! Cowabunga, dude!
