Yes, we are doing it again! Painting with Doretha!
This year we are holding this historical painting class right here at the Historical Society.
Due to space limitations, we will only have 18 seats available. As good as a private class!
Doretha will walk you through the steps to create your very own "Highwaymen" painting.
As always, we supply all artist materials required to complete your masterpiece. And as we know all artists are starving, we will have finger foods, soft drinks, wine, and beer to keep your energy up.
Where: Pompano Beach Historical Society, 217 NE 4th Ave, Old Pompano
When: Friday, April 14th, 6 -9 pm
Cost: $100 per person, all-inclusive.
Doretha learned to paint from her husband, Alfred Hair, one of the founding artists of the Highwaymen Art Movement. These artists' stories are fascinating, you can learn more here:

Pompano Beach Historical Society is hosting an Art & Craft Show and Sale right here at Founders Park featuring Doretha Hair Truesdell (of Florida Highwaymen fame) and her son, Roderick Hair, along with some of our own amazing local artists. Enjoy the artwork in the shade of our favorite park. Meet the artists; maybe find that piece of art that speaks to you. Visit the historical Kester Cottage Museums and learn about Pompano's art and history, both past and present
