This month our program will be held at the Hillsboro Lighthouse on Wednesday, October 19, 6:00 - 8:30 pm. We depart the Historical Society at 6:00 pm by bus and return at 9:00. HLPS President, Ken Herman, will speak on the history of the lighthouse after which you will a chance (if you dare) to climb the 175 steps to the top and see that amazing view! Lite food and beverages will be served. This very special chance to see the Hillsboro Lighthouse at night is not to be missed!
When: Wednesday, October 19, 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Where: Meet at Pompano Beach Historical Society, 217 NE 4th Ave.
Cost: $25 per person (limited seating - no personal cars are allowed)
Note: Due to certain restrictions, this is a members-only program. Member's guest will be allowed.
Rules for climbing require closed-toe footwear (no flip-flops or open-toed sandals). Children must be at least four feet tall and must be accompanied by an adult. Persons with physical difficulties or health conditions should consider the effort necessary to climb steep and winding stairs.
