Three Exhibits in Three Courses!
Join us for our Second Annual Progressive Dinner!
Wednesday, February 21 at 5:30 as we join with the Sample McDougald House and Ali Cultural Center for a three course/ three venue dinner.
We will start at 5:30 the historic Sample McDouglad House Museum for appetizers and the exhibit 'A Place for All People'; a historic poster exhibit celebrating the opening the Smithsonian National Museum of African-American History and Culture.
Next, at 6:30, we move to the Historical Society for the dinner and an exhibit of Pompano's Black Pioneers, Statesmen and Stateswomen.
Our last stop will be the Ali Cultural Building for desert and coffee. They will be showing a new exhibit entitled 'Rice, Beans & Gumbo - Facts, Fistions and Frictions in Black History'; an collection of drawings by Adewale Ademie that constructs narratives that negate many formed, albeit conventional, ideological representations of Blackness.
We start at Sample-McDougald at 450 NE 10th Street, Pompano Beach. We will have buses to take us from exhibit to exhibit and will to SMH at the end of the evening.
Tickets are just $35.00/ person and include dinner, soft drinks, beer & wine.
