The Pompano Beach Historical Society’s buildings are located at Founders Park, in the historic Old Pompano neighborhood of Pompano Beach. The Historical Society’s Dick and Miriam Hood Center contains a meeting room, office and kitchen facilities. One of Historical Society’s two Kester Cottages; this, the east cottage, houses the Society’s museum of local history. The west cottage has been furnished to depict a typical Kester Cottage of the late 1930s. One of the exhibits in the east cottage is the apothecary cabinet from McClellan’s Drug Store.
